Privacy
This page explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it short because there isn't much to say.
No tracking cookies, no third parties
We don't use tracking cookies, and we don't send your visit to Google Analytics, Facebook, or any other third party. That's why you're not seeing a cookie consent banner: there's nothing to consent to.
What we record when you visit
Our own server records each page view so we can see which pages are useful. This is stored on our own infrastructure in New Zealand and is never shared.
- The page you visited and when
- The site or search that sent you here, if any
- Your country and general device type
- A one-way code derived from your IP address and browser, which changes every 24 hours and cannot be used to identify you or follow you between days
What we do not record
We do not store your IP address in readable form, and we do not build a profile of you across visits.
When you contact us
- We keep your name, email, phone number and message so we can reply
- We keep it for as long as we're doing business together, and a reasonable period afterwards for our records
- We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't pass your details to anyone else
How long we keep visit data
Detailed page-view records are kept for 12 months. After that we keep only daily totals, which cannot be traced to any individual.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@areonix.co.nz and we'll respond.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Let’s talk about your business
Tell us what’s slowing you down. We’ll tell you honestly whether we can help, and roughly what it would cost.
